Life in the IT world - 2

I did not clear the entrance for engineering after 12th. So I joined a regular B.A. course. It was an honors degree in Mathematics. Little did I know what lay ahead of me. A carefree person not much career oriented. Yet, one thing was pretty clear I didn't want to become a teacher. I wanted to do a 9-5 job. In my 2nd year of college I joined a 2 yr diploma course with NIIT. Later that year I also got a chance to a do a 5 day job. I earned my first salary of 1500/- Rs. I was so thrilled. The job was pretty easy I had to teach 2 kids Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel in 5 days.
I continued with my degree and the compute course still not knowing what I wished to do. While I was in my final year of graduation I came to know that MCA was the most obvious choice after doing Mathematics (hons). So I started thinking in those lines. Still there was a lack of ambition. Meanwhile, my sister's marriage got fixed and the wedding date was set for the time when I had my exams. So I could not do much.

After I finished my graduation, I searched for the coaching classes and opted for the weekend batch. To add on to my so called enthusiasm I joined both MBA and MCA coaching classes. I also managed to get a job to teach toddlers how to handle computers. It was a cyber kid class. It was a strange experience. Cause neither was it bad nor it was good. Life still continued with full fun, coaching classes, NIIT and the job. I also tried for other jobs here and there, but none appealed me and to some I did not appeal :)

Life in the IT world

People often wonder that life in IT is a bed of roses. One roles in money, sit in the AC office, have facilities like gym etc, have a bus for traveling from office to home ad to top it off enjoys all the newly opened restaurants and pubs.
This group of people are also called as to the religion called IT. But, the grass is not always green. It just appears green.Ladies and Gentleman, I am also one constituent of this IT world. And what I would like to say quote unquote is that - Life is definitely not a bed of roses. IT is a curse to life. If you don't want anyone to lead a healthy normal life, pray that person gets into the IT field.

Yes, that is true. What IT gives in return is a long list of health problems. What is gives is no personal life. What it gives is a constant pressure to repay the loans and to top it off, it makes you addicted to money. A yearning to earn more than what you deserve and can manage.
